Setting up Dial-Up with Windows NT 4

Setting up dial-up connections to the Internet was made pretty easy with the new Windows NT 4.0.  This page goes into how to set it up with Full Radius Internet service.  It assumes that you already have a modem installed and configured on the computer.

First of all you'll need to install RAS (Remote Access Services) for Windows NT.   If you already have RAS installed then you might want to just check your settings agains the ones here to make sure it'll work properly.

  1. Start by clicking Start, Programs, Accessories, Dial-Up Networking.
  2. If RAS isn't installed yet you will see this window (below) asking you to install it.   Go ahead and click on install but remember you'll need your Windows NT CD-ROM to do it.
